When activating Meadows software on a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet, follow this recommendation if you wish to use Meadows software regardless whether your Surface Pro is attached to its dock. 

We recommend that you install and activate the software with the tablet detached. This will register the tablet's WIFI adapter for use with your installation of the Meadows software. You will then be able to use Meadows software regardless whether the tablet is attached to its dock, provided that its WIFI adapter is available (not necessarily connected to the internet).
